As a Working Student in Flight Test Tools, Processes & Coordination, you support us in developing the digital and organisational structures needed for safe, efficient and scalable flight test operations. Your focus is on understanding, improving and automating the workflows behind our ground and flight test activities, including checklists, flight logs, technical records and campaign coordination tools.

In this role, you get close to the action on the flight test campaign of our new Victor aircraft — helping set up test operations from the ground up and working closely on the actual product testing.

• Map the processes, tools, interfaces and records currently used in flight test and identify where to simplify or automate
• Define and implement concrete improvements for more consistent workflows across aircraft programmes and risk levels
• Design and build digital checklists with clear status logic (e.g. steps turning green once verified)
• Evaluate available software against functional fit, integration effort, usability and cost, versus building internally 
• Develop lightweight applications, scripts or workflow automations together with the users who rely on them
• Support planning and coordination during test campaigns: crew availability, assignments, training status and record-keeping
• Support campaign logistics such as booking flight test areas and organising travel, accommodation and rental cars

• You are studying aerospace engineering, aviation-related engineering or a comparable technical programme, with a genuine affinity for programming 
• You have practical programming experience and can build small applications, scripts or automations (e.g. Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C# or similar)
• You can analyse a complex operational workflow, question it, and turn improvement ideas into something people reliably use day to day  
• You can translate operational needs from flight test crews into clear functional requirements and practical solutions 
• A strong interest in flight testing, aviation operations or safety-critical processes helps you understand the "why" behind the tools you build 
• You communicate clearly in English and are comfortable with technical and operational documentation 

• have some exposure to project or programme management support
• bring experience with APIs, databases, workflow automation or low-code platforms
• have used mobile applications or cloud-based collaboration tools
• have German language skills
